I have heard of some off roading there if you own a SXS
But when driving through we can't for the life of us think why anyone would stay in such a barren area unless you want to mingle with 10,000 other boondockers or visit the guy with the banana hammock at the bookstore.
The gem and mineral show has to be spectacular. no shortage of rocks out here, lol

Quartzsite can be best described as an experience more than anything else. There isn't much to see or do around there that would require several days.

The best time to visit is when the shows are taking place, and I think that's in January.

Best time is during the RV show. I believe the third week in January is the absolute peak of activity. Every RVer ought to experience Quartzsite at least once.

How is the RV Show? Is it worth going.
We are suppose to meet my sister in Quartzsite the 3rd week in January. We have friends that might join us because they want to check out travel trailers.

We were going to do BLM but I'm having trouble getting the old Dometic to work on propane. So in case I don't get it fixed by then we're booked in Rose RV park. It's not easy to find a hookup site in January so I took what I could find. I will drop the TC in the campsite and use Red to get around. Dwight and wifey will be there too, this should be a hoot!

Yep.....we will be about anyways but up the road a piece. In the area from the 18th to the 31st. We switched to a residential fridge long ago so not much Boondocking at the moment. Matter of fact, I was in "Q" last week. I was a tad disappointed in Silly Al's(Happy Hour) not what I remember but I'll get over it.
