Pretty impressive fuel economy performance from the new F150 Power Stroke diesel.

Enjoy...

Just like the Ram Ecodiesel these trucks are for towing small to medium TT or boats. They didn't say what gears were in the the truck but mine has the 3.92 gears in a 4X4 and at 65 mph I can pull 30 mpg all day drop it to 60 mph and it makes 33 mpg. But it is a 4X4 with the tow gears in it.

I figured Ford would take the MPG crown from Ram since they are running a ten speed. Good job Ford we will have to wait until summer of 2019 to see if Ram reclaims the crown with the new Ecodiesel engine.

Any news on GM's in-line diesel for their 1500 yet?

It's still too early for the diesel trucks. I suspect it will be a later production option once the pipe is filled with gas trucks.

Man if they could put a bigger tank in and make it go 1,000 miles that would be a fill up every other day when towing when we travel, that'd be awesome. I'll tow 500 miles a day and my truck just squeeks that out with enough to go out in the evening and fill up for the next day.

That's certainly impressive fuel economy. I've seen these trucks advertised in my area but haven't noticed any on the road yet.

Driving like the subject of this did, I can get well over 20 MPG with my 6.7 diesel. Now with my 50 gallon Titan tank it reads 999 MTE because it won't go any higher.

Not bad, it 2001 Ram with DS Power Puck and RV275 injectors have gotten over 600 miles on a 28 gallon fill up pushing 7,800#.! The 7,800# is the unloaded weight of our Ram.

I agree, adding def is a non issue $$ wise, and its months it seems between fill ups.

Mileage is impressive , range is not ! I go 600 to 650 miles between fill ups , if I want to ! Most times I stop ever couple hundred miles anyway for a pitt stop

Still have to add DEF and it's till a diesel and that costs more per gallon last time I checked.

I get a charge out of the new pickup trucks with the tiny beds. Cab is bigger than the box. Around here, if it isn't an 8 foot box, it don't get bought. We use our trucks as trucks, not grocery getters.

33 MPG ! That is unbelievable for an F150, even unloaded !

That is impressive. Though I never tried, with my stock 36 gallon tank I'm sure I could theoretically get 650 miles at 18 mpg empty on the freeway at 75 mph or close to 800 miles at 60-65 mph and 22 mpg. Those are of course under optimal conditions. ๐Ÿ™‚

The best I ever got on a 100 mile stretch was 24 mpg at 60 driving in the UP of Michigan where you can set the cruise and drive for miles without any stops.
