Schedule 40 CPVC 1/2" plugs are rated for a 200? max at 118 PSI, so I wouldn't be too concerned about one failing at a 210° T&P relief valve rating at the typical 40-50 PSI used in our RV's. I've used them for years when nylon plugs were not readily available without a single failure that I'm aware of.
Except when water heater temp reaches 210*F the pressure will be close to 150 PSI
Both above the temp/press rating of that CPVC.
Just heating the water to 140*F can cause a pressure rise to 110 PSI
Temp/press ratings should NOT be ignored or pushed aside because one has gotten away with it in the past.
Worked around temp/press my whole life, either can injury/maim in just seconds. BOTH will KILL.
Just saying.....
Wow, you must have really strong plumbing in your RV to withstand 150 PSI in the water heater.
