Need an easy to apply/remove wax for my 38' TT. Want one that I can apply to decals as well. What is the best and most affordable; only want to hand wax this monster once a year.

303 is all you need. Spray on wipe off couple times a year.

McGuires has a line of RV/Marine waxes that is excellent. Colonite Fleetwax is also an excellent wax.

I haven't "waxed" any of my vehicles since the 1990's and with a simple hand washing with DAWN dish detergent once or twice a year all of my vehicles shine just as good as they came new from the dealer..

Yeah, I do have a 15 yr old 2003 truck that has 201,000 miles with paint that is shiny with the exception of where the winter road salt has caught up with it in the form of rust..

Modern day auto paints are much hardier than the olden day enamels and lacquers and simply do not need those wax treatments.

Even gelcoats on fiberglass RVs does not need all of that attention to look good for 10 or more years.. Most RVrs only keep their RVs a SHORT time, 3-5 yrs and they are tired of that style or it is too small..

I have much better things to do than waxing the equivalent to 4 large outdoor billboards once or twice a year.

If you MUST wax, apply once and when water quits beading up, reapply, but once you do wax, you WILL become a slave to the job because the waxing process REMOVES a small amount of the protecting top layer of the paint.. The waxing process actually ages the paint faster than leaving it alone..

Colonite it is and I'll plan on 32 oz which should be enough.

Personally I like Colonite products better. Harder to find, but they seen to hold up really well. Fleetwax was originally formulated for aircraft, so it holds up well.

So the big questions: which would you get 1) McGuires One Step Cleaner Wax-M5032 for $22.57 for 32oz or 2) Collinite Fleetwax Liquid 870 32oz for 33.50. Which is easier to wipe off and how much would I need on a 36' of surface area?

Yes on Maguire's for decals. Our RV tech uses the Boat/RV Pure Wax and recommends it. I used Maguire's then 303 Space Protectant in between on the decals to preserve them, but he prefers Maguire's as the main was with the 303 as a finisher.

I keep it covered, so it should be okay once a year. Cars are 2-3 times a year, but not as difficult, back breaking and time consuming as a 38' trailer
