I-75 detour in Detroit

Is the detour still in effect from the Ambassador Bridge going south? Any predictions when it will open?

Is I-275 south still the best detour route?

We will be crossing the Ambassador Bridge with a 35ft motor home and toad. Side streets are not appealing.

I-75 south is still closed and It will probably remain closed for another two months (or more) due to the recent lockout. I don't know where you are going so the "best route" question can not be answered. I usually take Fort St. south, then take Champaign to Dix (you can also take M-39/Southfield Road over to Dix). You can get on I-75 south at Dix (that is subject to change from time to time due to work on the bridges south of there - mainly on weekends).

96 or 94 to 275 south to 75 south or to 23 south to 475 in Ohio to 75 south.

I have a note that says SB I-75 closed until 30 November.
