Looking for suggestions on a one to two night stay near Rolla, MO first week in Nov. I know many parks close by Nov. 1st. Any place with few or no trees to bang into my 13.6' high x 38' long fiver?

A few miles north of Rolla on hwy 63 near the intersection with hwy 28 about 3 miles south of Vienna is a small motel and campground called scenic 63 motel and rv camp. Spent two nights there about 5 years ago. Nothing special just a place to spend the night while we attended a wedding in Vienna mo. I checked it shows up on Google maps.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Think something S of St. James might do. We stayed at a small no frills park a couple years ago while visiting my old Air Force buddy. He's since died so plan on visiting his wife and kids.

Meramac Springs closes before early Nov as do many other parks.

The one t Collins refers to is a nice express rv place on the south side of 44. In the middle of all off hiway fast food joints. Marshfield. Mo.

Sixty miles further is Bennett Springs SP trout park. about 2 miles off I44. Nice concrete pads. Few trees. See on google maps. That may be farther than you want to drive.

If you want to go about 1.5 hours further southwest on RT44 there is a RV Express 66. It may be affiliated with Holiday Inn but not sure of that. Don't know anything about the area but went past the CG a couple times on our trips to and from Branson. Very few trees, pretty much wide open.

If it doesn't have to be exactly Rolla, about 20 or so miles west of Rolla is (exit at Dixon hwy 28) a treeless small GS park on 66 on the south side of 44. Close to truck stop and the Uranus fun spot. No frills, but looks ok for an overnight. Sorry I don't know the name.
