X2 for Cooper Creek.

Itโ€™s a little off the strip but very quite!

If you go be sure to go to the College of the Ozarks, highway 65 south across the River to the 1st exit at the top of the hill turn right and you are there. This is a no tuition college ALL students are required to work, go to their restaurant for lunch/dinner, goggle College of the Ozarks.

Also just south of Springfield, MO in Ozark, MO about a 1/4 mile east of 65 is Lambertโ€™s Home of the throwed roll. goggle it also xlent food and a fun place to eat.

Wow, This 19% grade we talk about what road is it on? and can you avoid it towing?

Yes it can be avoided, I found it taking a "short cut" from Branson Stagecoach Campground to town. Also if you a veteran take proof they give discounts, town caters to vets.

We used to love Ozark Country Campground also. Stayed there over Labor Day but we will not go back. Two sides of the campground are now park models with workers staying there. I wasnt afraid but it just didnt seem like a vacation. Vans go through the park all day and at night picking up and dropping off workers. We now stay in campground 2 of Tablerock State park. Only a few have full hookups so get your reservations in early. Nice large sites for your rig.You can view the sites on the website.

LOVE BRANSON! Been there twice. Lots to see and do. Passport america parks are numerous--musicland behind Titanic best location wise. Be sure to try Andy's frozen custard! Wonderful! Better than Dairy Queen!

In regards to Ozark Country CG, the couple who owned the campground sold out to a larger company(don't have specifics) but as those of us who went there know, the very nice husband/wife team before, took excellent care of the campground.

The company that took over, has added several cabins which occupy the campsites. Those cabins are occupied by several service workers per cabin employed by local Hotels/Motels/Restaurants/attractions. The upkeep has suffered!

I only know this via recent reviews over on "RVParkReviews.com"....several recent reviews tell the story better than I can since my last visit 2 years ago was Excellent.

If your a Pass Port America member like us we used Stage Coach Campground and they gave us the half price rate for 7 nights, not a fancy place, a little on the small side but we had full hook ups, 50amp, with cable in a pull thru site. A short ride from all the tourist things but for the price we couldn't complain.

Love he place don't recall the route to town but there was a 19% down, we did it w/o the 5W.

I know just the hill your talking about, we did not try to tow either way on it but did drive it in our Smart car, was not sure we were going to make it up, I guess we didn't get a good run at it. We did go up it in the Kenworth after getting fuel which of course was no problem.

Since that has also been our favorite for four different trips, we would be interested to know what changes have been made...pricing, management, what?

Same here.

I use to suggest Ozark Country Campground but the new owners have changed things up and I won't be going back!

I don't think(as of two years ago) that the traffic was anything like it was back in the day, say 20 year's ago, even 10 years ago. There are still some short-cuts you can take to get you where your going quicker but all in all, for those 20+ shows we saw, it was never an issue.
