Decimal place does NOT Float , it was
006.5 amps
Not 6.500 amps
Resolution , is 0.1 amps, aka 100 ma,
No it won't show 0.043 amps
Aka 43 ma or 0.430 amps aka 430 ma , it will display 000.4 amps

right, but you have the 100A hall sensor right?

.4= 400 milliamp. i am looking for the same resolution in the 200a sensor.

did anyone buy the 200 amp shunt? or do you all the 100 amp version, i have tried all over the place but no one will tell me if the 200a shunt will measure milliamps.
Hi Bill,

I have the 200 amp meter, but unless I'm mistaken, the meters in this thread only use a hall sensor, not a shunt.

does it show a decimal place? or does it only read in full amps? im looking to see if it reads milliamps

i mis spoke i meant the hall sensor.
I haven't got mine programmed right yet, but it DOES show a decimal point. Not sure how accurate the reading is though.

when you get it running will you please let me know, i would greatly appreciate it.

It would be worth pondering a custom of some manufacturers to use a decimal point. To resolve readings to 0 and .5 the least significant number, therefore, would be resolved to one-half ampere.

I have one more question. My sending unit has the cables on the end that go to the hall sensor, but it also has one long black cable that doesn't seem to be addressed in the bad copy of the instructions that I have. Any idea's on that? Temperature sensor maybe? If so, where does that connect?

If I'm not mistaken, that is an antenna for the wifi connection between the board and the meter. I just wound mine loosely around inside the weatherproof box.
K_and_I , thanks, good to know.

I have a basic hall effect ammeter.

The directions say the sensor is calibrated for the display, and that if one buys multiples of the products to not mix and match sensor and displays.

Perhaps the meter in question is similar and changing sensors is unwise.
