Remote transmission cooler

The stock transmission cooler in a motorhome is basically worthless, so I removed the factory unit in mine (on the left) and installed a remote fluid cooler that is cooled by its own fan and is thermostatically controlled. The fan comes on at 185 and shuts off at 160. I have it wired so it can continue to run with the engine off. The thermostat completes the ground circuit, so only one wire has to be run to the cooler.
I had to fabricate a mounting bracket, which consisted of about $5 worth of square tubing from Home Depot. Total investment- about $160 and a few beers.
Heat will kill a transmission more than anything, this is a cheap investment to help prevent a breakdown.
The driveline is a Ford 460 and a C-6 automatic. The cooler is mounted in the right wheel well, like it was designed for it from the factory.
