Does AMSA have a flea market section? I have never bothered signing up for that, but would get you in front of a target audience.

I log into Facebook when I want to see if they connect me to my friend's former girlfriend admirer son.
Surprisingly lot of organizations use FB as their announcement site and I have to go there, but am very careful no to click "log in" button.
Talking about craigslint, I found the idea on the net for selling vehicles, or any bigger items.
"No offer consider till you see the vehicle"

Facebook isn’t a problem any more than any other web property. You do have to understand what it is good for, however. Unfortunately, most don’t know, and Facebook has no incentive to explain their platform for what it is and isn’t.

How can you say that?
Think about it, before Facebook we didn't know when people went to Wal-Mart, what they had for lunch, what color underwear they have on today or how many times they go to the toilet. 🙂

Just like I liked it.

You will not find me on FB.

Deleted that **** 5 years ago..
Never looked back.

Craiglist helps people who are searching for something find it. But Facebook is different. It knows everything. It knows what your interests are. Someone doesn't have to be searching for an item. When you list a for sale item, facebook throws it in front of everyone and anyone that it knows might have an interest. And all their friends notify them too. Not at all privacy friendly, but it works.

I am in the Arctic Fox / Wolf Creek facebook group, it's got over 1700 members. There's a lot of useful info shared there.

Overall, I don't like facebook. But for buying and selling stuff, I am blown away by the effectiveness, and it's free. There is a bunch of truck camper groups there where you can sell stuff.

I noticed the change with the changes in section powers.
Trolls attacks are no longer big issue as well.
So maybe topic in stickies with free stuff is not out of question?
I am selling stuff on craigslist and it gets very annoying. Tens of email, where people never show up and if, they come to offer you 1/4 the value.
Maybe good for free stuff, but that's about it.

Kayteg1, I sell on CL all the time. Couple rules I live by..

Price is always firm, you want to low ball me, visit over, goodbye.

You have an appointment to look at the items(s) more than 15 minutes late, don't bother, door is locked, light out.

Don't give me a sob story, I don't buy that ****.

Finally, cash only, no checks, money orders, only FRN's.

No test drives either.

Won't happen here. Remember who owns the forum and what he sells...

Any sales of anything is in direct conflict with his company.

Stick to the other forums, craigs list or a paid ad in your local rag. Won't fly here unless it's free.
