Replace fiberglass poles with aluminum.

I do very little tent camping these days, but looking at doing some long multi-day hikes. Instead of just dealing with the weight (again) of fiberglass poles or purchasing a new tent, has anyone replaced fiberglass poles with alumimum?

I did some research some years ago but never pulled the trigger and can't seem to find my notes from where I intended on ordering replacement poles.

Does anyone have any good experience companies to replace fiberglass poles with alumninum?

What do you calculate you’ll save with aluminum poles? Yes, I know backpacking is a quest to save ounces.

I looked into this a few years back and found I could buy a comparable new tent with aluminum poles for less than I could replace the fiberglass poles in my older model. I think this was one of the sites I checked. Good luck.

There's also Tent Pole Technologies (https://tentpoletechnologies.com/).

As much as I can! When I go, I usually carry most of the shared items (dinnerware, stove, fuel for stove, etc) and there is my fly fishing gear as well sometimes including waders/wading boots.

If your looking at shaving weight consider a nylon tarp. Use your hiking poles as tent poles
