I use a cut off piece of garden hose about 1 ft long with the female end to screw onto a regular male hose end. I just put the cut end in the fill tube all the way to the connection and it has never come out under pressure. BTW I am pushing 80-90 psi through my hose.

I have always done it this way, and the hose has always blown out of the opening under pressure. I have to stand there and hold it.
I ordered one of these from Print-A-Thing for $14.69 today. (I am the guy who asked how it held onto the opening.)

He ended up printing a few and then remodeling the design. I forget why he said he was doing it. But here's the final product that he made and sent to me:

His remodeled version has a bit of slop on each connection (camper side and hose fitting). We're talking about him tweaking it to fit a little tighter.
But, thank you so much for the design/idea. This thing is great!

If it is now coming with a quick connect built in, I am glad I bought mine before the change. FWIW, I used it today for the very first time. Worked like a champ.

No, I added the quick connect because I use them for all of my hoses. The piece prints with regular hose threads.

Doug, As this thread was referenced in a new, recent thread, I thought I would bring it back from the dead to ask if you and your friend did tweak it for a better fit. I had the original design printed locally by the library, and it didn't fit at all. I don't know much about 3d printing, but it looked like the piece they made me didn't come off of a quality printer. I would like to have someone make one for me, but wanted to check to see if a newer design was available.
Thanks

NICE FIND,
I would change it to be a 90deg for the water hose.

On the first page of this thread, a picture shows a 90 deg adapter being used, which is what I plan to use if I can get one of these made that actually works.
