It uploads your propane level data to an internet site using your own wifi network (campground wifi, cellular hotspot, home wifi).

Then you can use the app to check your propane level no matter where you are (say you're 50 miles away at home from the campground). Instead of using Bluetooth and having to be physically near the sensors/monitor.

if you are 50 miles away, what is the advantage of $$$$ having this?

I was debating that myself. I'm not sure I'm the right person to sell the benefits of it. Just was answering what it is. [emoticon]

But, a scenario: maybe for checking to see if you have enough propane to get through a weekend or need to grab your extra tank from home?

It's a marketing point, it doesn't have to make sense as long as it sounds good.

Sadily I bought into their marketing hype and it is absolutely worthless......40 bucks for a paper weight.....I have never had an issue connecting any device to my wifi net work even when guests want to get on line they can.......but this device just will not connect ......

Just goes to show you that the phrase "Smart Phone User" is sometimes a bit off. [emoticon]

Perhaps so. I suppose it depends on where you place the emphasis. [emoticon]
