I've been with Triple A for a long time, but recently read that they don't cover all states. Can anyone point out any major differences worth considering? I just got the Good Sam offer in the mail. Might switch. Thanks in advance.

AAA NO!!!!!!! especially for RVers! I have had Good Sam Road Emergency Road Side plan for 20 yrs. Overall great plan. You will see some complainants posted but I have not experienced any signifant issues. We always would like to have the service truck arrive in 10 min. but realistically you will experience some issues with all the Emerg. Road Side plans. For me, Good Sam is designed primarily for RVers.

Have you checked with you insurance carrier? They may have adequate coverage for very little cost.

I guess one might say I am over covered. I have AAA along with GS. I believe each has their own part of the market. I use AAA for all the travel books and maps. I have used them once for a dead car battery. I have Good Sam for the MH. I would not switch as I have had GS for many years with not problems.

I have CN been great ,won,t buy GS because of all the horror stories on this site. and I don,t use CW for the same reason.but there must be some good in there, they do a huge amount of service.

Unlike CoachNet and Good Sam, AAA has regional offices and every regional office offers different services. We have had AAA Plus for 20 years. We had with RV for about 12 years. We used AAA for RV service 3 times, 2 because the tow vehicle broke down, once because of a blown tire on our Class C. We were happy with the service. We are on the East Coast and both times we needed a tow we were outside our region. Both times they were long tows, 75 miles and 99 miles. With AAA Plus, we get 4 tows of 100 miles each year.

One problem we found with CoachNet if you need a tow, they may not tow you where you want to go - only to the nearest dealer/mechanic. Our Hybrid TT came with 1 year of CoachNet free. The one time we tried to use it, was when the fuel pump in our tow vehicle died. We were 70 miles from our destination. CoachNet wanted to drop our TT off at a local campground and tow the van to the nearby Chevy Dealer. That didn't help us. They would not let use pay the difference to go where we wanted to go. AAA towed us where we had our camping reservations and then took the van to a local dealer.

I have Coach Net. Be careful with AAA as they are regional.

AAA terminated their RV plan in my area (Northeast) so I moved to GS. I've never had to use either one so I can't comment beyond that.
