My wife is a Birder and is going nuts to see a Painted Bunting. I know they are in the Jacksonville area. We will be in the area toward the end of March, can anyone recommend a park or trail where we might have a good chance of viewing this bird? PLEASE !

The Painted Bunting can be found at the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve. The visitor center is on Fort Caroline Road; stop in there and ask for a bird list. Also inquire the best trails for birding.

Birding gets people outside. I have been friends who are birders that have taught me a lot. The Christmas Bird Count is a great thing to get involved in.

Contact the local Audobon Society in JAX and they will be able to give you very specific info.
