In that case, "UV" means "unwanted visitors".[emoticon]
Seriously, cat pee on your tires can be a rodent deterrent.

I like the 303 and use it on all my vehicle tires, trim, dash, plastics, etc. I like that it dont stay slick looking like other treatments, just looks new for a long time.

Protectant is a waste of time and money. tires should be replaced long long long before they wear out. If you want them to look pretty, then go ahead. To extend life, not going to help.

I use 303 to bring out the shine after a wash. It also is very effective for UV.

The first time I used 303 I spilled some on the driveway and for six or seven years afterward this spot on the driveway would bead water when srayed.

You should see our driveway after a rain. 303 for all tires.

We put new tires (Cooper II SRM) on our RV when we bought it back in 2008 or so. I just replaced them last year due to age. I think I put 20-30K miles on them before replacing them due to age. They still looked fine with no sidewall cracking. We store our RV outdoors but under covered storage. I have never put any kind of treatment on the tires. I do not own any tire covers.

Tires have UV protection in them but there is no industry standard so some tires may be better than others. If you were to use a product that is supposed to provide UV protection, how would you know if it is really doing anything?

Heat is what destroys tires so I would say having covers if sitting in full sun is better than worrying about UV protection.

Keep the tires washed. The biggest issue is just letting them sit for months covered or not. They are meant to roll so roll them down the road from time to time, and not just “around the block”.

If you don't spray tire protectant on your tires, the tires will be shot by the time they are 15 years old. [emoticon]

Unless they are Michelins, then figure on half that time. [emoticon] [emoticon] Mine weather checked in about 3 years but still have tread. [emoticon] Nothing would help these c..p tires.

Another vote for 303. I use it on tires, decals, slide seals, window frames or just about anything plastic. Maybe don't really need it on tires but if I have it out...why not?

Also a 303 fan. I dont want my tires all "shiny" but I do like them to look black. The uv inhibitors in the product is awesome on vinyl decals, interior of vehicles etc. I realize rv tires are expired in 5 or 6 years, but I do like to protect them as best I can during that time.

There is a LOT riding on those babies, so I say do what you think is right to take care of them.
