Hesitating Wiper Blades

Just installed a set of rain-x wipers. They keep the rain off but they hesitate going back and forth! Was wondering what would cause this and will it hurt anything?
Thanks for all comments!

You might want to clean your w/shield. I have used glass cleaner and some #0000 steel wool..no, it won't scratch the glass. ( lots of you tube videos on this)

When it's clean and dry, use some "rain-X" on the glass.

You may need to slightly bend/torque the arms so that the blade is PULLED across the glass in both directions instead of being pulled in one and pushing (causing skipping/chattering) in the other.

It is the material they are made from.
The glass needs to be REALLY wet before they will swipe smoothly in both directions.

I once had a set that did that and just could NOT learn to live with it......so they went into the trash.

First, do NOT run them on a dry windshield.

Then, if the hesitation is only at the ends of the stroke, it might just be from the rubber blades "turning over" when they reverse direction.

do you mean you turn them on, and its start - stop

wiper controller, worn out motor commutator, dirty connections in the wiring
or possibility a bad relay ... if your wiring has one

get chassis wiring diagram, and start by checking the relay
cheapest part in the system

no relay check all connections you can find

IF its mechanically herky-jerky, but keeps moving

its the linkage or the motor
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

Do you mean they stop/start in different spots of travel. If so then you might need to check the linkage and lube. If not then the motor might be ready for a change. The only other thing is where you mount them, slipping or loose.
