I just picked up a new 24’ Class C. The Forest River Sunseeker 2290 seemed to check the most boxes of what I wanted.
When I built my house I added an enclosed RV garage but because I decided to add it after I started Its not as tall as I would like.
It has a sloped door 13’ tall dropping down to 8’ over its 16’ width.
Fortunately, I was able to “squeeze” the MH in with me on top directing the GF driving.
I have a standard A/C that’s 14 1/2” tall and is the only thing that’s tight. (1” clearance)
I saw the Dometic Penguin 2 is 11 1/2” and the Coleman Mach 8 is only 8” tall.
The extra 3-6” would make it much easier getting in and out of the garage.
I also let half the air out of the duals on the low side and gained an inch and I think if I put my motorcycle on the hitch rack I’ll probably drop another inch or so from compressing the suspension.
The A/C would be the simplest option and least chance of damage.
Anyone have one of these units and what are your thoughts?
I’m so glad it fits in the garage as it will save so much weather and sun damage and I don’t have to worry about winterizing.

Looks to me like the Mach 8 would do the job for you. ....but check out the new Mach 10. Although it is 10" tall, reports from new owners say it is remarkably more quiet and efficient than the one probably in your RV.
