Campendium lists campgrounds in a an area you select, but may not necessarily have a description of it. But, it will give you enough information to google other sites.

For non-commercial campgrounds the best is Ultimate Campgrounds.

Over 40,000 locations, including LOTS of free dispersed locations.

I use All US Campgrounds and seems to work just.
Our 2351D Phoenix Cruiser, Jack, has turned us from campers into RVers and loving it!

Spud ~~ Thanks for the response ~~ That is as close as I could figure. I hate having to translate ~ especially when no one else notices or so used to aberrant spelling variations they just float on over.

PS o/p ? still doesn't make sense

Not a list but I like to use this campground map. Shows public and private CG's. Zoom into the area of interest.

Allstays is great but we use every site that has been mentioned. Google maps is also great. Just use the search box after getting to the page and ask for rv parks and campgrounds near ______________.

Allstays

Double ditto. It's the most complete listing I've found. I didn't even buy the app. I just go to the website on my smart phone.

While I use AllStays as well, if you are looking for non commercial campgrounds, check out the Ultimate Public Campground List. An inexpensive app that lists some campgrounds that AllStays misses.

They are also starting to list un-reviewed campgrounds.
