As a Red Sox fan, I'm not blaming these loses on the Umpire, but in the Sunday game, the plate ump was awful... he had NO vision on the strike zone for either team.

In this one, no matter the winners, was a blast to watch fifty runs in two games.

The Red Sox are ahead of their run scoring pace from last year. The pitching has been abysmal!

16 blown saves by the bullpen.

Starters with very high pitch-counts after the first 2-3 innings.

They had to get more runs there as the Brits are used to cricket where hundreds of runs can be scored, even in the newer shortened games done over a few hours.

The players were complaining about "fast turf and base hits", but the offense on both sides hit lots of home runs, and home runs have nothing to do with "turf", and neither do walks. Lots of both. Was really fun to watch tho.

Yeah, I get it "the pitching", but we need to get back to contact baseball, and base hits AND great defense appeals more to the fans than 1-0, or 2-1 scores.
And pitcher now work a few innings and disappear, usually. What happened to ATHLETES (Making millions) and a few innings every few days. It becomes bullpen 2-3 innings, and closers ONE inning.

I can remember growing up in LA, watching Koufax, Drysdale, Osteen pitch full games every three days or so - OR Larsen, Wells, Ford, etc for yankees...

Personal opinion: I'd rather see offense and defense, put the ball in play. Nowadays these pitchers try for so much movement on the ball, it hits the dirt way more often, and more balls than strikes. No wonder the pitchers wear out in four - six innings ... high pitch count!!!

You got that right. Red Sox pitchers threw a total of 229 pitches in Sunday's game.

Rick Porcello was just awful.

6 runs 5 hits 1 BB in 1/3 inning

That sums up the season to now.
