Trading in 5 year old Fuzion 342 (question about value)

Hi, wow, it has been a long time since I signed in.

My question is how do we figure out worth on our 5 year old 342 Fuzion? It’s been a really good RV for us, but we have dinged it up a bit, so it has a few things that have to be repaired. I’ll list, so anyone considering a Fuzion and read this sort of 5 year review.

1) the water tank brackets broke the other day as DH was putting it back in the storage unit, so 3/4 of it was hanging in the ground and 1/4 was still attached. We have no idea how this happened.

2) we ran into someone on a turn (totally our fault, the length with the 8 foot long bed F 350 dually makes it so long) and a pipe broke, so we used plumber tape on it. I assume a dealer would professional fix that. DH ordered sheet metal from Keystone and his welder friend helped us cut it into shape and we were able to replace that.

3) we can’t use city water connection because there is a slow little leak.

4) at mud nationals, a tree took off the antenna, so we replaced that.

5) we have one noticeable round spot on the carpet by the steps and window.

6) something ripped the back awning last trip, so DH threw it away at the campground dumpster, so it needs a back awning.

7) the garage has been used for muddling events, so the floor has red dirt, etc that won’t come off.

So all in all, it’s been a great RV for us, but with the water tank issue, we feel it’s time to trade in. Also, I have a cpap now and the bedroom has no side tables and this is a *big issue* for me as the cpap is never in a good place, so I started putting it on the mattress with me by my head and it’s not ok.

Also, the floorplan is getting a little outdated considering the newer models. We are looking at a 2019 Raptor 356 or a 2020 Momentum 320 G with a king size bed!!!! (But hopefully one table for my cpap).

So how do I figure trade in value? Is there a Kelly blue book for RVs? Thanks.

I was told look at the rv NADA and then take another 25% off, that should get you ballpark.

Ok, that went super fast and it’s done. We are now the proud owners of a 2020 Momentum G320. We pick it up next weekend: we put 1k down.

Trade in was 31k and the Momentum price was attractive, so it worked.

Well, and there is always the possibility of getting friends to help secure water tank and keeping it for another year. ???????

Thanks so much. We will just have to see what they offer. We have zero interest in selling it ourselves.

NADA says low pricing is $37,950 I would be surprised if they offer more then $20k

Yes check out NADA RVs that said its only a resource. Looking at online for sale sites will give you an idea of what people and dealerships are asking.

To be honest with the damage you have, I'd wouldn't be shocked if they pick one of the following;
* Decline the trade
* Completely low ball because they don't want it
* Give you a low trade offer, minus the costs to repair it so it can be sold.

IMHO you're better off pricing it very low and selling it yourself.

DH is on his way to the dealership right now, so I’ll follow up. 50% on trade after how many years though?

Probably not much. RV's typically lose 50% of their value on a trade.

Also, could someone remind me how to change my signature? We have an empty nest now and two English bulldogs.
