Best rv parks around Saratoga Spring NY

I traveling from Asheville to Nova Scotia I want to go to Saratoga race track, Need recommendations on campgrounds in the area?

Probly 15-30 miles away, you stand a better chance of a place, but plan on 100 bucks/nite. Several near Lake George area and they are within that mileage range.

The farther away from Saratoga you are, the more likely you'll find a few spaces available. The track opens tomorrow, and everything is pretty much booked solid 30-40 miles out. I know one fellow that rents out his private RV pad about 25 miles away for $150/night for the track season, and has been booked for this season since before last season ended.

I stayed here (Moreau Lake State Park) a few weeks ago - really nice place;
Large sites, great setting, plenty of walking/cycling trails, good swimming....

Quick drive to Glen Falls, Saratoga, Lk George.

Sadly, I don’t think there are any decent campgrounds anywhere the Saratoga track. Some years ago we stayed at Whispering Pines Campground in Greenville Center, NY, quite far away from the track. It was awful. Bad roads, hookups in wrong places, rude staff, etc. Perhaps it has improved by now? Check out RVParkReviews for info. Good luck & if you find a good one, please let us know. We have boondocked in the parking lot of the casino near the racetrack. Overnight parking is allowed there.
