Seattle RV Park Recs

Traveling thru Seattle. Looking for suggestions on an RV Park while we tour the area. Thanks.

Thank you everyone for your responses. We ended up making reservations at the Anacortes/Burlington KOA for next week. Not ideal for touring Seatlle but that may have to wait for another time.

Check the casinos. Unless you need pools and games etc. I hate to pay for that which I do not use.

Last Summer we stayed at Saltwater State Park. There are no hookups, but it is very close to the water and they do have bathrooms. It was a easy short drive to the light rail that took us in to Seattle. Not you typical KOA campground. Great sunsets over the water from there.

Closest, best place we found was Lake Pleasant.

I stayed at that park two years ago and it is the worst KOA I have ever stayed and I stay in a lot of KOA's. The sites are very narrow and not long or wide enough for you to park your TV. The price was $60 or so. I stayed there mostly because it was near a friend who lives in Kent. I will never stay there again. Wal-Mart is a better choice.

When we toured Seattle, we stayed at Tall Chief in Fall City, WA. We tried taking the train in but there was just no parking at the train station. Instead we ended up driving into the city the days that we did tourist things. Finding garages tall enough for a 6' 6" dually was a trick, though.

Back in July 2017, we had power issues while there. It was extremely low voltage. I raised a stink and the campground manager ended up visiting me. She thanked me as it was the time of year that Encore starts to figure out their capital expenditures for that winter or the next year. She was hoping that my hubbub was enough to get some money thrown their way for electrical improvements. Let me tell you, that was NOT how I saw that conversation going!

WA have very nice state and county camping sites.

If you're open to driving to the train station and riding that into Seattle, or even driving from the south end, there is Kanasket-Palmer State Park out in Ravensdale. About half the sites have power but no water or sewer hook ups. Beautiful area.

If you want to be closer, I would second Lake Pleasant in Bothell.

If you don't mind staying just out of Seattle, there are a couple places out between Bellevue and Preston. Have never stayed personally, just live in the area, so am aware of them.
