We just inherited a travel trailer from my in-laws.

The skylight above the shower in the bathroom was leaking for a while so a new skylight was bought and the roof torn apart and new wood and framing put in to replace rot.

So, we are on the good track to having a solid rv. New roof materials are on order, but I need to find one thing I’d like to put back on.

From the factory (it’s a Skyline brand RV from 2003), there was a tape or some material that folded over from the top of the roof second down over the metal sides of the trailer before the rubber roof was put on. This material created a soft rounded corner that prevented the roof from potentially cutting the rubber and probably waterproofing a little bit.

Can’t find any info on what that tape may be. I’ve searched all kind of seam tapes today and can’t find what I think it is or what could work well.

If anyone here knows the product or something to use in its place that would be great.

Thanks

It's probably Eternabond. It's an excellent product and comes in different widths.

Regardless of what it originally was, I’d put Eternabond on it.

I believe the original was fleece tape.
