A little info on GMs future.

I’m not a fan of the new Chevy styling. Would be more interests in the GM. I’ll be in the market for something in this time frame. Click here

There is a current model 1 ton Suburban, but not designed for towing

Special order and mainly for government or super rich folks who will armor plate them (AKA bullet proof them)

MTWR is 3,000 lbs...but don't know if that is after the armor plating or in stock form before the bullet-proof mods

I'm having a hard time warming up to Chevys new styling. I have always liked that since the mid 2000s the Suburbans had different front ends than the pick ups, I was hoping that trend would continue.

Did anybody else notice that little bit about the twin turbo V-8 that may go into the Escalade? Put that in a Chevy pick up and all of the sudden it doesn't look so bad, lol.

I'm still a fan of the late 70s through the late 80s Suburbans, love that big box style!

I had a 1963 Suburban and the 292 I-6 got a little knock, so I installed a mild 283 and keep the granny gear four speed tranny. With 3.73 out back it cruised on the freeway much better with the V-8. Two parts needed to do the swap. The passenger side motor mount tower and the V-8 OEM fan shroud. Looked like it had always been there. Towed an E racing runabout flat bottom all over the NW with it in the early 70's for my buddy.

I love suburbans!
Have had 2500's 1500's 5.3 ,6.0 , 6.5 diesel, 8.1 and the good old 5.7.
There is a reason that suburban is the longest nameplate running! I'm excited to see the new models.
