The actual quote is:
"Scientists were concerned that Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins may have brought pathogens back from the Moon with them, so they quickly entered a Mobile Quarantine Facility (MQF), a converted Airstream trailer."

I am not into TT's but thought this mention of the brand is kinda' neat... The only way it would be better would be if they were quarantined in a truck camper...LOL

That very trailer is on display in the Huntsville, Alabama rocket museum. Very affordable RV camping right next to the museum, and a great museum in general to visit.

The trailer display reveals how the trailer was disposed of by NASA and later found in some type of fish hatchery in the south. The museum did a full restoration and you can walk in a lot of it but they have some areas "glassed off" for display.

Safe travels.

Kind of funny that the "scientists" did not consider that as soon as the hatch on the return capsule was opened any pathogens present would have been released to our atmosphere. Still amazing what they did with what they had!
Wonder where that Airstream is now?
