The only time mine is disconnected is when I am on the road driving. So yes.

I'd at least put a surge suppressor to protect on board electronics.A better device would be a https://www.amazon.com/Progressive-Indus........locphy=9008963&hvtargid=pla-535849621413 You would also need to check your battery/batteries periodically.

we do, 50amp service at home and the coach stays plugged in

Short answer YES.. Long answer: So long as you are not towing/driving it down the road YES.

We stay connected but with a surge protector. We have had surges trip the breakers, on the towers more than once. The surge protector may have saved a big spike getting into the rig too. It does not tell us what events it protected us from.

Mine's plugged in 24/7, if not plugged in, the genny's running.

yes we have surge protection.

It has never activated at home. once on the road.

I would only add that make sure you have a good 3 stag charging system be it inverter or converter. If not make sure you keep and eye on the water in your batteries, so it doesn't go low.
