I have the Onan 5500 Grand Marquis generator on my motorhome.
Model# 5 . 5 H G J A B - 1 0 8 C
I want to replace the inline electrical fuel pump and filter on the generator.
The part number on the fuel pump is Cummings A O 2 9 F 8 8 7. This number has been discontinued.
Does anyone have good part numbers for these two items?
Cummings or other after market part numbers??
I could use a part number for the carburetor also.

Thank you.

I posted a video on YouTube where I replaced the fuel pump and filter on mine.

I bought the replacement pump ($34.95) and fuel filter ($17.48) on Amazon.

Fuel pump: https://amzn.to/2UZjVRt

Fuel filter: https://amzn.to/2GxDSM7

Pretty easy job. Watch the video first if you're unsure.

You can get the OEM Onan one from PPl motorhomes for $82. I bought the Airex from Amazon. Mine failed after 40 days, in the same way as yours is currently failed, overheats after a few hours and then if it cools it works again. Tried to use the warranty, well their is no warranty, because the warranty has to be honored by the seller and Amazon won't take it back after 30 days.

They also have the fuel filter.

Just Google "fuel pump for marquis gold 5500 gasoline/hgjab", and several links will come up including Amazon.com which lists replacements starting at just over $20.
Same for the carburetor. Amazon lists Cummins 5410765 Onan Carburetor Kit as the replacement.

just about any pump will work. Just keep the pressure out put low. Its either 3 or 5 lbs max. Sure someone will jump in .

This is what I got many years ago when I needed one right now. Been working since.

I got a fuel pump and filter off Amazon.com a few years ago and is still working fine. My fuel would stop(seize) when it got hot causing generator to stop. It
would work again once it cooled but stop again when hot. In cold weather it would work better.

I'm curious why you are changing them.

What kind of problem are you seeing and also how many hours are on the generator.
