Wireless Battery Voltage Meter

I’m looking for a wireless battery voltage meter. Just something to display voltage without having to pull wires. Haven’t found anything in my search so far. Anyone have ideas?

I don’t want and don’t need an expensive Trimetric or other battery monitor. I’ve managed just fine with monitoring volts only for 9 years. Looking for something wireless for my new rig.

Thanks.

I tried voltage for one year and killed my batteries. The problem was that when driving, engine charging made the voltage on the batteries well over 12.6 volts and it stayed that way for hours after stopping. They call it surface charge. I thought the batteries were getting fully charged from the engine until the furnace failed to work in the morning.

I bought new batteries and read a lot here so I knew the voltage method is only accurate several hours after all charging has ceased. I wanted to know the per cent of full charge all the time so I bought a $25 battery monitor from China via Ebay. It doesn’t have a remote display but I’m very happy with it after about 5 years. The display is conveniently mounted in the house. I recently bought one of the monitors with remote display but I’m so happy with the basic one with shunt for current measurement that I haven’t installed the remote monitor using a Hall Effect sensor described in posts above. I may use the remote one for our car which has a parasytic current draw problem.

If you have (3) 12v paralleled

then the meter MUST be on the main charge/discharge line of all (3) batteries feeding the RV

you can not place the sensor on one wire that only charges, the RV load/discharge wire also has to go thru the sensor
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

It worked fine for a couple of weeks. I added 2 batteries to my original and it went screwy. It does count up WH and AH. I'm sure I didn't turn it around, but I think I'll try that anyway.

dang, i don't have an answer but can tell you my basic setup.

first, did it ever work properly?

my monitor is inside front compartment only about 3 foot away from battery. i use a small cheap usb rechargeable battery bank to power it. other than that i don't have an answer if it worked originally. the sensor on battery cable has to be turned in proper direction

its not user friendly but i mainly got it to measure voltage while my TT is at home so i can stay on top of recharging batteries.

I have this one. and works well

Hey, mine isn't working and the seller isn't responding. It won't reset so it always shows 100%. Any tips?

(Voltage display is good and I've compared to a couple of meters, including a calibrated one. Wireless from front to inside panel is roughly 10 feet.)
