Which Tow Package & Hitch ?

I just got a 2015 Lexus RX350.
It has AWD and it came with the Tow Prep Package.
It didn't come with any hardware though.
I have to put all that on, get a 7-Round and all that stuff.
I do have a Prodigy Brake Controller though.

Where should I go to get this put on and what should I get?
I never started from this point before.
All my other tow vehicles already had all this.

10-15% for TT and 15-25% for 5th wheel and goosenecks.

OK I see that the payload for that car is over 1000# so it sounds as if you are good to go with that hitch. Our first two RV's were popups and there is a forum here for them. If you stay within their limits they are good introductory campers. We dragged ours all over the country once from Florida to Yosemite. Long wet periods will try your patience tho. And ours frequently blew out tires because of the small diameter wheels, I suggest carrying an extra wheel with a mounted tire with you, they can be very hard to find on a Sunday afternoon in East Nowhere Nebraska for example...heh.

The Hitch Weight (Tongue Weight) of our camper is 309 pounds.
The MAX tongue weight of a Subaru Outback is only 200 pounds.

The max for the eTrailer install for the 2015 Lexus RX350 is 500 pounds according to the YouTube video posted above.

Its not a travel trailer. It's a pop-up

300 pounds for an almost 3000 pound trailer?! I don't believe it, 15-20% is normal tongue weight for TT. That would be 450 to 600 pounds. Get that TT to a weight scale before thinking about it.

The trailer tongue weight is 300 pounds.
That's why we have the rx350. We were looking at the outback but that was only 270 lbs or something like that.

The actual critical number is the maximum tongue weight on that Lexus. I'm guessing 500# but maybe it's higher. At 500 tho, you may have a problem. You need the listed tongue weight of the trailer too.

U-Haul It often does hitch installations but I'd use an RV place or someone who specializes in that first.

Local RV shops or if you have any local shop that sale vehicle accessories a lot of those do installation also.We have a local shop here that's all he dose even has a mobile service. Anything to do trailer hitches and trailer.

Mine is 3500 pounds.
I want to tow a 2011 Forest River Flagstaff MAC 228D.
I think that is about 2200 lbs and 2700 loaded.
I just watched a cool video by etrailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sX-n-ZIHLiY but I still need to know where I can take it to put it on and still keep the rear bumper fascia.

What is the tow capacity of that vehicle and what do you want to tow with it?
