Link didn't work for me either.

If it ain't forced induction, I don't want it. I am sure many will be glad to hear that there will still be a "good old fashioned" V8 in the F150 lineup. Although there is nothing "old fashioned" about today's high tech V8s that cannot run without a computer.

Correct link (op's link had some extra stuff in it):

https://www.motor1.com/news/367016/2021-ford-f-150-new-engine/amp/

This generally follows Ford's trend up slightly downsizing each engine option while increasing output at the same time (V6 3.7L --> 3.5L --> 3.3L for example).

Interesting that the article says nothing about the bread-and-butter EcoBoost engines.

Seems like a lot of power for a grocery cart.

What's the big deal?
My 5.0L is rated at 395hp, IIRC. Not a huge leap there. Torque, yup, a bit more.

Pretty sweet getting 400+/400+ out of a sub 5 litre NA engine!

Just 10 years ago 300/300+ out of a similar size engine was considered good.

Back when Ford was making the Crown Vics/Grand Marquis/Lincoln Town Cars, they went from a 5.0 to a 4.6 (if memory serves me right), and if this is correct, the Police Intercepter version of the Crown Vic had a beefed up 4.6. To what extent I don't know, but do know the 4.6's were pretty stout.
