i have a buddy that's been using the pcmatic suite for a few years and loves it. the problem with that or any similar suite is you don't know what the suite doesn't know or recognize.

I used it for quite a while and have had good results. I've only had one aberant website pop up that I had to do a maintenance scan to eliminate. If someone knows better, correct me. I think they have a list of "good" executible files and what their byte count should be. If it's not on the list and had the correct count, it doesn't let it run.

If you want the best available, protect your PC with MalwareBytes.
https://www.malwarebytes.com/
It's has a free version and a paid version. The free version must be run manually to clean your PC. The paid version runs in the background to prevent access to known nefarious sites.
As a retired computer professional, I've been using it and recommending it for years with excellent results.

Been using PCM for a couple years. No issues and it keeps the 'puters tuned with a weekly scan and cleanup. Besides, it all USA.
