I suppose that day comes to all of us whether we like it or not. At 81 we are still RVing and biking but one day the hitching up and down, loading and unloading, sanitizing, etc. will take its toll. Hopefully, it comes at a time when we accept that fate and can then move on with fond memories.

Congratulations on a wonderful camping career. As others have said, stick around and share your wisdom (including that of knowing your limits and when to call it quits).

Sorry to hear of the end of your RV career.
In a couple of weeks I will be up in Seattle for Dad's 95th birthday. He still has camping equipment in the garage. My uncle is 92 and he will be there.

When I can't drive an Rv, I will find someone to take me out there and buy an off-road wheelchair. I don't go out there just because I like it, I have to go.

Best of luck to you. Hope you continue to get out and enjoy life!
By the way, you can still stick around this place and share your knowledge and experience. It would be appreciated!

Best regards,
Scott

Thanks a bunch people. Scott what I'm really going to miss is our trip to Tonasket, WA. every other year for my wife's family reunion.
I've only been married this same gal 65 years come November.

Happy birthday, and happy early anniversary! We all reach points in our lives when we say "maybe I shouldn't be doing this any longer". Cherish the memories; and look for a new fun thing :-)

Reading your OP brought a lump to my throat, because while i don't want to think about it or admit it, it's coming for all of us, for some it's quite a ways off, for others, it's just over the next hill.
I just hope that I have the courage to face it as well as you.
The road doesn't end, we just travel down it differently. Good Luck on the new part of your journey.
