Im one month into my first and new to me RV. Im going south to one of the LTVAs in Arizona when I retire in December. I want to make some changes like getting rid of the booth and table dining area. I am going to put a recliner and some floor cabinets in. I had planned on looking around home depot to see what I can find to work. First I thought I would ask around about the LTVAs and if their was any cabinet makers roaming around that area? Any ideas?

Home cabinetry like you find at Lowes are not subjected to weight restrictions like RV's are. Not that they wouldn't work, but a standard S&B base cabinet is probably 2x the weight of one built for an RV. Adding recliners will also probably be much heavier than the dinette you are removing. I know some folks have luck with IKEA type cabinetry as they can be found in lighter woods. Just a caution about doing all this in one concentrated area may cause a weight difference and shift the distribution in your RV.
