I parked at the Brunswick, GA Cracker Barrel many times. Sometimes I tow a car. I never park in an Bus/RV spot. I always go in AFTER the dinner rush is over and many parking spots are available. I park behind the Bus/RV spots across 5 or 6 car spots. Never had a problem. Once we ate dinner upon arriving and mentioned to the manager we were staying the night in their parking lot. The same manager was there in the morning when we ate breakfast. The manager picked up our breakfast check! I like CB much better than the wild and crazy FlyingJ parking. I stopped overnight parking at FJs years ago.

All Stays WalMarts check out this website for WalMarts that allow overnight parking. I'm with you as far as not wanting to be that person who wakes everyone in the campground up when pulling in at 10 p.m. and then again at 6 a.m. in the morning.

He never said anything about the expense. His issue is time management.

the poster is asking for information/advice....not judgement. shame on those who are snarky without provocation.

p.s.
walmarts, sams, and even home depots..... just ask management if it's ok.

FYI, the rest stop welcome center in NC right after the TN border on I-40 is CLOSED. They are rebuilding it. I am in Dandridge TN and that is about 3.5 hours from Nashvilleand there isn't much to choose from. There is a Walmart at exit 435 that may work for you. Turn right off the exit and its not far. After that exit you will be into the Pigeon River Gorge and its twisty and up hill until you reach Canton NC. It's pitch black at night through there. Another choice is Hartford TN with 2 campgrounds at exit 447. There is also a truck stop at the Wilton Springs exit 440.

Agree that CB rv spots are pretty small. We've stayed at quite a few and never had issues. Sometimes we use remote parts of lots rather than rv area. We eat there to support them.

for everyone who says go to a campground, there will be another guy complaining about the person who woke them up pulling into a campground late at night and then leaving early in the morning

Lol. Y’all are ridiculous on this campground thing. It has nothing to do with paying for a campground. It’s about logistics of getting on and off the road quickly with 10 kids in the van including a 3 month old and 16 month old baby. I would willing to donate the 35$ to a local campground and not even stay there. Go take you arguments somewhere else. It’s not about the money.
