Fastener question (wall repair)

Hi There,

I am in the process rebuilding the rear wall on my 5th wheel. I need to replace some of the wood studs due to rot. The wood studs are screwed to aluminum framing. What type of screws should be used to attach the wood studs to the aluminum frame? Do people use self tapping or pre-drill?

Thanks!
Mark

I would use stainless steel screws. Something like a "sheet metal" or self tapper. You will probably have to go to a fastener store or buy them online.

I use self drilling-self taping sheet metal screws.
