Hello everyone! I just purchased my first motorhome--a 2005 Georgetown SE. We started tent camping early in our marriage and gradually moved up to travel trailers and now to a motorhome. This appears to be a good one. It's not the prettiest on the outside, but most everything works and the Ford parts are excellent, as well! On the other hand, I'm learning a lot--mostly by trial and error and frustration!

This coach had a Shurflo remote control power vent fan, which is no longer made and no longer serviced. Long story short--in the process of removing it, I struck a hot wire to ground and POOF, no power. Whatever fuse it is, it also controls both a/c thermostats. BUT, I cannot find it! Every single fuse under the steps is good! Where is the fuse for this 12v circuit???? I'm pulling my hair out here! I'm usually a pretty good 12v guy, but I pulled a boner this time.

Of course, there's no support from Forest River! No manuals, no wiring diagram, no nothing. There's the 110v breaker panel back in the bedroom, and the 12v panel under the steps. Is there another I haven't found yet???

Thanks in advance! I plan on learning LOTS from your experiences!

There are fuses in the power center where the 110V circuit breakers are.

GOT IT! Man, they hid them little buggers good! I'm used to the travel trailer where they're right out there where you can see them and mine has a light that comes on next to the blown fuse! Nevertheless, I found the bad one and we're cooling again!

Thanks so much for your rapid and accurate responses! Preciate it!

Glad we could help. By the way it's required that anyone that gets a new RV needs to post pics of it.

And BTW welcome!

I wish I had taken some before and after pics. I'll post some pics later, but I think we'll name her "Rescued" because she was bound for the salvage yard after they pulled her engine and transmission. I hope, like a rescued dog, she'll be faithful and good to us for a long time. I know we will be to her!
