Is there comprehensive list of campgrounds that are open all year? I would be intrested in a national list if there is one available. Allstays used to be a good resource but they don't have that button to select open all year anymore. Thanks

Three of my favorite words in a sentence.
By the time the weather cools off and fishing gets good, all of the campgrounds are closed.

Don't know of a "comprehensive" list, no one has one for just all campgrounds either. But, in Indiana, the State Parks are open year round for camping. Water is turned on in the campground beginning early April and turned off the end of October. So, no water in the State Parks. But electricity is still on and you just drive in, pick your spot, set up, plug in, and enjoy. DNR will come around and collect a very reduced fee during those "off water" months. FYI, dump stations are still open too, but no running water.

FYI, anything South of Indiana (Kentucky, WV, VA and Southward) will be open and have full functionality, depending on each campground set-up. We've camped several times in Kentucky the week of Christmas for our annual pilgrimage to South Carolina or Florida during Christmas week. Always have water at those overnight stops (we stop at KOA's). Once we hit Indiana, private campgrounds are closed, and water is off at State Parks.

If you have a smart phone, install the free Park Advisor App. You can easily look up individual campgrounds and their approx. open dates. Then call to double check.

Swartswood state park in northern nj is open for camping year round. Warm Bathrooms with hot showers, which is great because the outdoor water spigots get turned off in late fall thru spring. Only $20 per night. Lots of great hiking trails

We are planning a trip and need a stop (for winterizing) on the way back. I just had a look at a campground that says "opn all year" and found that it only applied to the cabins.

I have been trying to plan a fishing trip for November in California. All of the USFS campgrounds are closed. I don't care for RV parks, but a lot of them remain open. A few small private lakes are open but the rate list says $45 for a site, $15 for an extra vehicle per day, $10 for boat launch, $5 for a dog. The site has locked gates at night. No thanks.
