It's hard when you get to the dark times. May your memories give you peace and comfort.

So sorry for your loss. We are trying to enjoy life as much as we can. Retired early and trying to see as much of the country we can.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

She sounds like she was a remarkable woman, truly a blessing for you. I'm glad you had the opportunities to follow your dreams and have precious memories to give you comfort now. I know you will miss her deeply and that will never change. No words of comfort can come near to the sorrow and loss you must be experiencing right now. With that said, I'll not say, "Sorry for your loss". (which I am), rather "Joy in your memories!" God bless and comfort you.

Really really sorry for your loss. Seems I am hearing more of these stories all the time. Your point is solid. You have some great memories to look back on. You did it right. Life is such a precious gift not to be returned to the giver unopened. It is important to realize this life time wise is a grain of sand on an eternal beach. Really, in my opinion, the only thing we do that has eternal consequences is to decide if the Bible is what it claims or the biggest con job ever laid at our feet. And it that is true what was the motive. For me the Bible is so real proving itself with no doubts. Okay gettin off the soap box now before I fall. Happy trails amego

Sorry for your loss. We know when we make our marriage vows that death will eventually part us, but I don’t think we ever get ready for it. The time very well may come when you find a good, long, extend trip alone is therapeutic. Keep the faith, this life is not the end.

I'm sorry to hear about your wife, how heartbreaking. My condolences to you and your family. And, you are so right, take the opportunities you have presently, vs waiting until the exact "right time". There may never be a right time. My dad died at 52 and he and my mom had always dreamed of getting a camper and traveling after retirement. Never happened.
