We just went through some storms and tv news said if your ice and snow has a trick or treater fall you are open for a law suit. If your lights are on it’s an invitation that you asked T & T to come to your door. That was it for me. Lights off and candy for me! Personally I’m not a big fan of Halloween anyway so with this sue for anything mentally this was my last Halloween.

We had a cold and blustery evening. I did not purchase candy, I bought Wendy's coupons for frosties. Since I usually don't have very many trick or treaters I only purchased coupons for 25 frosties. With the cold weather I had one trick or treater.

Years ago when ours were little, the entire block was filled with children. Halloween would literally be a continuing stream of kids with no break between groups.

No more.

We had maybe 12 last night. All the families grew up and moved away.

Years ago when i used to hang out at the neighborhood bar, some kids would come in trick or treating, We gave them quarters, slim jim's, beef jerky, or hard boiled eggs...[emoticon][emoticon]

We always prepare for 50 which is enough here. Nice evening, we ran out so we turned off the light & shut the door. Bell rang twice after that - suppose I could’ve found some quarters for them but I had a project I was working on so I didn’t answer. No doubt they had a good supply by that time so they didn’t “starve”.

we normally have 40-50 kids, but this year ZERO. Thursday nite it rained and Friday and Saturday nites it was nice, cool but nice, and not one showed up.

Had about 20 kids last night-not all lived in our neighborhood but that was fine. It was about 39 degrees but it didn't seem to faze anyone. Even some of the parents dressed up. We have two blow-up dragons and a blow-up serpent in our front yard. Most of the neighborhood asked if they could take a picture in front of them. Of course I said yes. It was a very nice night.


I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be Douglas Adams

RV-less for now but our spirits are still on the open road.

We had the same number of kids we’ve had every year since moving here: zero.
