Are you sure it's actually the knee?

I went through MRIs, multiple rehab sessions, injections, and finally saw a chiropractor who identified the real issue was in my back. He basically used his equipment to loosen up the "frozen" vertebrae without forceful manipulation, and my pain disappeared.

I now have a serious pain in my foot that is definitely back related, and that same doc has unfortunately passed away. I found a highly recommend chiropractor that is able to manipulate me into pain free for a few days, but it comes back pretty quickly

That is an excellent question. My son was suffering from what we thought were knee issues but at the last minute as we were deciding on surgery the ortho had his hips x-rayed. Turns out that's where the problem was.

There was no mention of the knee pain possibly originating elsewhere. I'll have to find out more when I start therapy. Thanks everyone for the heads up.

How old are the shoes you normally wear? Sometimes all it takes is a new pair of good shoes.

I've thought of that too, Wilbur. I tried another pair and back to the original ones, although I may repeat that. I wouldn't mind some good walking or hiking footwear, but since my left hand is paralyzed I can't tie laces.
