2017 or newer F-450 issues

Are there any "newer" F-450 owners here?

I have a 2012 F-450 and might be looking to trade for newer. I had heard there were some bugs (not official re-calls but still problems) with some of the 2017 or newer F-450s.

can anyone add an experience?

If no power at new battery what is the best way to eliminate such kind of problem! it's a very much irritating problem for me as happened all on a sudden.

Went from a 2012 to 2017 but a 350 SRW. Liked my 12 and my first diesel but love the 2017. 16 to 17 is where there were changes from the ground up as the PSD was a little long in the tooth frame wise etc.
My 2017 had the block heater recall done just yesterday and the door handle recall this time last year.

Toys my Voltage TH with ease.

The braking was the big improvement and I have heard of turbo ( ceramic ballbearings) on the 2012 a potential issue. Sold my 12 privately with 92 k and recovered 75% back.
That allowed to go to Platinum this time!!!

I think you would smile driving that 2017 plus 450!!!

Fish, I thought the CP4 pump issue didn't exist? :W

I wonder what the "recall" will consist of......:h

what is the proper full term for the bypass kit and how would I go about asking for one to be installed. I am not fond of any dealership IF they would even do that sort of thing.

is this considered a major alteration? I'm guessing any after market / performance diesel shop can get this?

Well having had a 2011 F-450 for 175,000 miles with only a couple of oil leaks and now having a 2019 F-450 with 28,000, no issues. Never a fuel pump issue since 2001 was my first super duty.

You would be shocked at the difference a couple of generations make.

Would do it over again.
