The morning I put my new cover on I went out early to do some work inside my camper and fired up the furnace to warm it up in there a bit.

As the day went on the outside temps raised up considerably and ended up being a nice day. That's when I decided to put my cover on.

I forgot all about the furnace being on and when I came back 12 days later this is what I found. [emoticon] [emoticon]

Yep, I had forgotten to turn off my furnace and shut off the propane. [emoticon]

Fortunately I don't think there was much propane in the tank.

I should have this here tomorrow. Transparent Duct Tape, Ultra High Performance Weather Resistant Tape.

I felt pretty stupid when I first saw the hole. LOL

I wouldn’t worry too much. When I had a cover it eventually wore a hole in a couple of places because TCs have sharp edges and corners. [emoticon]

When propane runs out, the furnace fan will run continuously till it kills the batteries.
Ask me how I know...

You might want to just cut a bigger/neater hole so you could run the furnace with the cover on. I don't have a cover but have used the furnace over the winter to work on interior.

Thanks. I doubt that the hole will get any larger. The heat seared the edge.

The tape will just help me feel better. [emoticon]

If I do anymore work inside I'll probably just use an electric space heater.
