Can anyone advise what hitch options would work well with the following setup?

Truck is a 2019 MegaCab Dually with 6'4" bed, and factory prep for 5th wheel/Gooseneck.

5th wheel being considered is a GD Solitude 310GK.

My knowledge in this area is very minimal! I only know that some hitches can work with my truck 5th wheel prep and some can't. I also know that the king pin/box on the 5th wheel may be changed to aid turning with the short box of the truck. Lastly, I understand that some setups don't have the ability to deal very well with lateral movement between truck and 5th wheel - creating a lot of stress on the hitch interface?

Whatever knowledge and recommendation you can offer would be much appreciated.

We used a Pullrite Superglide on two of our MegaCabs. Never had to worry about cab clearence. Pullrite makes an adapter for the Ram puck system.

If the Solitude has the rounded/notched front corners made for short bed trucks, a slider isn't needed. Your mfg/dealer can help you there.

You won't beat the Pullrite Superglide auto slider. Its heavy and made to last if you follow lube and maintenance recommendations from Pullrite only. Its been around for years and has the service record to back it up.

I've got a 2018 RAM with the puck system and use the Demco Hijacker autoslide with the Demco adapter for the RAM. It's heavy, but I like it after 25,000 towing miles between this truck and my previous RAM.
I'm really glad I got the autoslide.

Some will come on here and tell you not to pay for the quality auto slider. You can get a manual slider much cheaper. Don't listen to them.
You've got $150,000 or more in truck and 5th wheel. Don't skimp on the hitch. Go on Pullrite's website and/or get in touch with them for their recommendation.

Been Using my Superglide since 2006 with not 1 issue....

Like stated, don't skimp on the Hitch, NOW . . . if your Rv is rounded up front, you will probably get away with a standard hitch,. If that's the case, go with the b&W Companion standard hitch..

BUt, for piece of mind, the Superglide is an awesome, 1 time pay insurance policy

TrailerSaver hitch by Hensley. One of the best. We've had ours since buying our FW and wouldn't use any other. We have the BD3, but there is now a BD5.

Slider...get the Pullrite auto, direct fit to pucks. Non-slider...get the B&W for direct fit to OEM pucks.

There is actually three . Pullrite, Demco, and Reese , they fit the puck system on the Rams , so you can attach a standard rail fifth hitch to them, The Pullrite Superglide IRS or any other standard bed rail hitch.

The best way to go is to eliminate the adapter all together, and go with the Pullrite OE puck base feet kit, which allows you to attach the ISR Superglide series directly to the truck puck system . About the same money as the adapter, IMO a much better way to go with the Superglide. Only drawback they only work with the Superglide 2300, which is a 24K rated hitch, by no means a bad thing ,but its plenty of hitch for whatever fifth wheel he goes with ,a bit more more money, but a great setup . With that new 80K truck, that should not be an issue [emoticon]
