That's one of the reasons I never watched the video in the first place. Too many of those things are set up just as click bait.

Its too bad they are not still available, its apparent many need one skipping the pull test [emoticon] I believe there was one called the Butch Device that prevent a dropped fifth wheel also .

It was almost as entertaining as reading some of these hitch threads, so hard to keep up with the experts .

There are a handful of threads here over the past 10 years of B&W owners who suffered a dropped fiver. Even one where a B&W hitch head separated from the base on a RV roll over. That last one was dismissed as a “Safety Feature”.

I think the B&W is a fantastic made in America product. But in the end it’s a mechanical device designed and built by people.

And that is the real problem...people, the operators. Most of the problems would go away if newbies would read their owners manuals and follow them. But, if that were the case nobody would have anything to chat about.

Oh you can drop a trailer with a B&W if you forget to pin the release while you were say bizzy being distracted by RV hitching up supervisors or your fancy eeelectronic landing gear and such like that...
