I dont discuss all the nonsense add ons. I ask for the bottom line price not including tax.

Exactly - the bottom line is what matters. I generally don't care how they get there. If they want to add $2,800 in fees, fine...just drop the price equally to compensate.

Who cares what add ons there are IF you ask for an “out to door” price?

So I pressed the Make An Offer button. It took me to a simple form to enter my name and contact info along with the price I offered. I pressed the button and Suprise! It took me to an error page that asked me to call their sales office for help. I'm guessing that's not a real error. I'm guessing that's their way of getting buyers to call and speak to a sales person. Anyway, I'm not calling yet. I'm really about 3 months away from using the RV so I can wait. If this one sells (it probably will) something else will come along.

If Camping World responds to the offer because they actually collected my info, I will let everyone know.

CW will usually tell you the fees and add ons are mandatory.
I even had one try to tell me that the "Documentation fee" was a state tax, and was mandatory as a state fee. It was Virginia, and I had a dealers license, I KNEW better. the $399, was the state mandated MAXIMUM they were allowed to charge. It goes straight in their pocket.
Nothing is mandatory, it is all negotiable.
It is more likely a documentation fee is a mandatory fee at the corporate level. The dealer is likely to prefer losing a sale over the fee than have the dealer employees know that the fee can be waived. Commissioned sales is a strange profession. The salespeople have an obligation to the dealer to make the maximum profit, but they only get paid if they close a sale, so they also need to do whatever it takes to please the buyer. Fees might not be a legal obligation that cannot be waived, but the owner of the dealership probably won't allow it because collecting that fee over hundreds or thousands of sales is much more profitable than any single sale.

You are correct. I've done business with dealers in two regions (FL&DC) where most dealers have outrageous dealer fees. I just negotiated the price I wanted, looked at the contract and asked what the $500, or $700 charge was for? They explained that it was a mandatory dealer fee and not negotiable. I then explained that I don't pay such nonsense, but they can remove it off the sale price, and we are good. After a lot of pearl clutching, sniveling and secret talks with the sales manager, the dealer fee amount was backed out of the purchase price, and everybody was happy.

When I informed them of MY required off the lot price which was the price on the door without all of the extra costs, but with an lp tank and battery, (paying cash) the salesperson said that was not possible. The salesperson informed me that they don't make deals like that in June. In Sept, that TT was still sitting on their lot next to the interstate.

I purchased my Coachmen from a large local dealer. They had to order the model we wanted, but still knocked a third off the MSRP, and added NO extra fees. Financing was through my credit union, and they handled all the paperwork. Had a detailed walk through with a knowledgeable tech. When I went to pull it off the lot I discovered the brakes were not working, they fixed it on the spot in about 20 minutes.
