Certainly safe to say the 2 best teams in the country played for the title last night. Burrow and the offense did what they do so well, but the same LSU defense that handled Alabama and humiliated Georgia in the SEC title game showed up to play from the second quarter on, effectively neutralizing Trevor Laurence and Etienne Jr.

Certainly a great day for LSU fans.
Give Clemson credit for never giving up and I believe Lawrence will regain his form next year and may well win another Championship. I see no other college QB of his stature at this time.

Let's hope Brennan will continue to bring LSU greatness next year.

Bags, got any tips on junior college transfers available? Perhaps another OSU QB?[emoticon]

Actually Charlie, OSU Justin Fields QB isn't exactly chopped liver. In his 1st. year as running the Buckeye offense, he was 13 & 1. If Fields improves as much as Joe Burrow improved after being a starter for one year at LSU, then watch out as OSU just signed (5) of the Top 15 WR & 2 of the Top 10 QBs. Five Buckeyes that could have been drafted in the 2020 NFL Draft have decided to come back for their senior year to win a National Championship! BTW, I knew LSU was going to beat Clemson because LSU played tougher competition & Joe Burrow is without a doubt the best College QB in America. He put on quite an offensive show Monday night and he is a very SPECIAL football player and perhaps an ever better person and son! GO OSU & GEAUX LSU!

A final thought. LSU had the most productive offense in FBS, averaging 44 points per game. Clemson had the stingiest defense, allowing an average of only 234 yards of offense per game.

Too much Joe Buureaux?
