We've been full timing for over 11 years. I always resisted a washer/dryer for the storage loss but when we bought our 2018 Landmark, we added them and my wife is very happy. Enough said...

We had the 2100 in our motor home and now in our fiver. We ordered it for our fiver. It doesn't take up that much space and there are only two of us. Heck we have spots with nothing in them still and we travel quite a bit.

We are wintering in Florida for the first time this year and I've asked many people at the resort we're at about their thoughts. It's about 50/50 love it or hate it. Those that love it either are older and don't want to be bothered using the resort laundry facility or they don't want the hassle and added expense of using pay machines (This I don't understand because you can buy a lot of loads of laundry for the cost of those machines). Those that dislike their washer/Dryer all say the same thing. They don't hold much and laundry has to be done just about every day. Because we sometimes boon dock and other times camp where we don't have water hookups and use our Fresh Water holding tank, we chose not to have them.
This is what we've found talking with other full-timers the past 4.5 years. We personally like to be able to walk over to the laundry and get everything done in 1-1/2 hours in larger commercial machines. The long-term expense of doing it this way has been negligible - especially compared to the cost of the Splendide units. We also have extra storage space without the W/D.

I'm not a fulltimer but I have a Splendid combo. The combo is not ideal but I prefer it to laundromats.
For me doing laundry on my time in the confines of my RV vs. doing it in a public place is a no brainer.
The public bathrooms maybe larger and more efficient than my RV however I'm not using those either.

Required equipment for me. I recently ended 8 years of nearly full time. I would have given up my AC before my washer & dryer.

Love our Splendide 2100XC combo, we are about 3/4 time and did laundry once a week. A full day, $25+ in quarters to wash and dry IF you could find a clean laundry. 52 x $25 = $1300 I paid just under $1000 for the Splindide and now do laundry when I want not when I need. We run a small load every few days, hang sheet when damp in the shower to eliminate wrinkles. Been over two years so I have saved $$ and time.
BTY it did break down, tech support did trouble shooting on the phone and sent the parts to fix it, N/C. It was under warranty and CW said to leave it and we will get to it .......... I picked it up after 3weeks and it had not been looked at.

We have stackable units. Wont be without. Why waste a couple hours in the laundromat? Like others have said, just throw a load in every few days, go do your thing, come back, throw them in they dryer.
Another item i used to consider "unnecessary" is a drawer dishwasher. No longer! That was the best move we made even over the W/D!
Both take a bit more time when winterizing, but really its no big deal.

Did you camper come setup for 220v breakers? Or did you have to modify the electrical system to support it?
I'm just curious what it takes.

220v is a DRV option for dryer. 50a service is 220v.
