just saw my 1st 2020 F-350's

I gotta say, ALL of the big 3 have come a long way in the past 10 years..

I stopped on the way home tonight to look at the 2020 Lariat, 6.7, 4x4, Long Bed sitting at the local dealer ..

curb weight - 7490#
GVW - 12,400
listed payload on sticker - 4514
RAWR - 8300.. I may be wrong on that, but am pretty sure I saw that listed..

just for example, those numbers are a decent jump just from a 2015... payload is 1200# higher...GVW is 1,000# higher... curb weight is 1000# lighter...RAWR is about 1000 or 1200 higher...

They are ALL making it easier to justify a SRW with those numbers...

I can say that we're lookin REAL HARD at getting a 2020 version of Red. If I can get it for around 42K we'll probably pull the trigger in the spring.

The Ford dealer might laugh a bit, then tell you to get off the property. :B

In Lariat trim, DRW with 4WD and 6.7, $42K? I'll take one also, maybe two.
May get kinda close with an XL with 6.2 gas, but I doubt it.

Who said I wanted a Lariat with a diesel? My 30 year old truck, by today standards is barely an XLT, you know apples to apples....lol, and Red's not a diesel. I've already priced a truck that's closest to a replacement for Red with the exception of adding 4wd, cause a 4x4 wasn't available in a dually back in the day or I'd have it. With that said at 20% off MSRP it comes in at around 42K-43K. But you can bend over and take what the dealer shovels your way, I've NEVER paid MSRP for anything I've ever bought. I buy a truck to be a truck and expect it to work for a living, just like Red does. I don't need or want all the nanny wohoo **** and "Tech" that they throw on trucks today, save that for the "status" queens, it's just more garbage to break in the long run from what I see and isn't needed, least of all by me. Once the "newness" wears off of the the 2020's they will deal on them...it might take till the fall to get it at my price, but I'll get it.

I will say this, The guys down at Sheehy Ford in Ashland VA are always low priced as well.. They are who I use as a price check usually.

Just looked online.. they are showing 2 platinum trims at $9k off without haggling...

He is just about family and has told me that he will not give the same deals to others, but will be the lowest..

Thanks. And congratulations.

SURE... I deal with Chris Kennedy.. PM me if interested, ill set you 2 up

LOL, thanks, may take you up on that at some point, but think I'll do some BSing with the local guys first and see what I can do. I say BSing because not sure if I want to get another new one, or hang onto what I have that will be paid off in about 11 months. 2015 with 38K. Not having a payment looks really good also.

Nothing more fun than playing around with some of the sales people / dealers, feeling out who the real ones are and who the jokers are. It can make for a fun Saturday morning/afternoon. The only thing more fun is talking to them at an RV show.

Yea, I'd cancel my order and go get matching ones...

I did get a killer deal for the Platinum trim from my local guy, only got me for $25,000 AND my trade , which he gave me 40k for.. 2015 with 58k on it. The Lariat trim was a few grand less

Who is this dealer? pretty much 20% from sticker on a straight deal as I assume you had 100% equity on the $40K trade, so $65000 + $3900 tax out the door other than tag/ registration incidentals, for a truck with an $80,500 sticker?

The only options added to the below were 4X4, 6.7 Diesel, and electronic locker.

Whatever it is good for you!

Ron,

almost pulled the trigger on the DRW, but with the numbers what they are now I went with the SRW.. I was at max before, now will I have padding... perhaps the next truck will be our retire truck, at that time we'll go all out for traveling.

I do too much snow removal in smaller driveways in the winter to drag around those hips...

payload was - 3364#... WILL BE - 4561#- I was over
GVW was 11,500#... WILL BE 12,400# . -I was over
RAWR -was 7000#.... WILL BE 7340# - I was right there

And I'm gonna sell the 2 year old Pullrite superglide and the rail kit and already ordered the B&W Companion 20k OEM
