Hello all,
Not new here but in hibernation for a while...
We are about to pull the trigger on a Grand Design 2670MK. Looking for feedback from Grand Design owners in general, and owners of the 2670MK regarding design, drawbacks, etc.
Thanks in advance!

We have a Reflection 297RSTS and are very happy with it so far. Had things that needed to be fixed but dealer took care of them. Recently notice that the outside furnace door was rusting, happens in Canada with the salt on the roads. Called GD and even out of warranty for 3 months and a week later had a new one delivered.
All in all would buy another Grand Design trailer.

We have a 2017 Imagine 2650, very happy with it. There's a GD forum and a few Facebook groups dedicated to GD's.
Hope you have a 3/4-ton to pull it.......

Have a GD Reflection 5er. Very happy with it thus far. Owned just about a year (year next month). Have heard GD customer service is great, but have not had a reason to test that out.

We have a 2016 303rls 5th wheel and could not be happier. It has been a wonderful unit with very little flaws. Would definitely buy another GD product.

At 600 pounds dry tongue and 32 feet it would seem to be within what a well equipped half ton can reasonably handle with a couple in the truck. Why do you think he needs a 3/4?

Those are advertised numbers, so it will likely be more.
GVWR= 8495. With the large tanks it has, it could easily be over 1,000 lbs of liquid waste alone! Unless it will always be a campground queen, that scenario is likely.
GD makes great units, and I am a fan.... But they are heavy for the reasons I like them.
Though this unit could technically be towed by the "right" 1/2 ton, one would need to be careful about the weight. It is a much better match for a 3/4-1 ton SRW.
OP: Pay attention to what the GD owners that responded are towing with. Not one of them has a 1/2 ton.
The only 1/2 ton proponent has a small KZ, with a GVWR of just 3500 lbs.

The issue with the 2670MK is a lot of the heavy stuff is in the rear. Couple that with axles that're to far forward and you get the horizontal teeter totter effect. Reading on the GD forum when the 2670MK came out guys were having trouble with 1/2 tons for 2 reasons. The TW tends to get heavy, pushing the limits of some 1/2 ton receivers and they're prone to sway. Some were getting Hensley Arrows and others were getting 3/4 tons.

Thank you all.
I just bought a 2019 F 150 XLT 3.5 ecoboost, super crew with max tow and HDPP. GVWR is 7850 with available cargo of 2507. GCWR of 16,100. Just me and the wife with the occasional grandkids coming along. Basing everthing off max weight (GD 8500# GVWR and F150 7850 GVWR) I should be find pulling with weight to spare. GCWR is ~16,300#
Planning on 13% TW which including wd is 1205#. That leaves 1300# for me, wife and cargo. Am I missing anything?
I guess I need to update my signature.

Sounds like a good combo to me. I towed my 297RSTS with Tundra for 6000 miles without any issues. Towed very well. Next trailer will likely be a 5th wheel so that is the only reason I upgraded to a 3500 RAM.
